Hamilton College is proud to celebrate the achievements of its learners following the release of this year’s SQA results across National 5, Higher, and Advanced Higher qualifications.
Headteacher Richard Charman shared:
I would like to congratulate all Hamilton College learners on their SQA examination results this session. I know how much work has gone into this set of results, not just by the young people, but also through the support of their families at home. I am equally grateful to my dedicated staff across the School, who will be able to tell their own stories of how they have supported and nurtured our young people to achieve their very best.
The school is pleased to report an Advanced Higher pass rate of 100%, with one exceptional learner achieving four A grades at Advanced Higher. At Higher level, the A–B pass rate stands at 74%, and at National 5, 79% of results were graded A or B - all marking another year of strong academic performance.
Every leaver is progressing to meaningful next steps - whether in university, college, apprenticeships, or employment. There are more S6 pupils pursuing medicine, dentistry, and veterinary medicine than any other subject - a reflection of the ambitious and varied pathways supported at Hamilton College.
Mr Charman continued:
Statistics show a snapshot of success, but the true story lies in the personal journeys behind the numbers. I am very proud of the achievements of our young people - and they should be very proud of themselves too.
Hamilton College also takes pride in the progress made by its younger learners. As they build strong academic foundations for the years ahead, they follow in the footsteps of a senior cohort who now move on with purpose, carrying with them what matters most: confidence, strong values, and the readiness to shape the world beyond the classroom.
The entire School community joins in celebrating these results and extends its warmest congratulations to all pupils and families, alongside sincere thanks to the staff whose dedication continues to shape exceptional futures.
