HISTORY AND MODERN STUDIES CLUB( S1 and 2)
The history and Modern Studies club meet every Tuesday lunchtime at 1pm (packed lunches are provided) in A19 with Mrs Murray and Mrs Mackay.In this club we look at interesting historical and up to date issues. We watch videos, make posters, organise debates and use the internet for investigation. In the past we have looked at the Roswell UFO mystery, the Death Penalty, Pirates and the Titanic. This year we are kicking off the new session by investigating the mystery of the Mary Rose. Often we use ideas from club members. If you are interested speak to your History teacher.
CHATTERBOOKS
This is a children’s reading group which is available for J6 pupils only. This club will be held during lunchtime. Day of meeting to be confirmed.
Mrs Dobbie (Learning Support) and Mrs Clark (Librarian) will run this club.
CHEMISTRY QUIZ TEAM
The team consists of 3 pupils, one from S2, S3 and S4. They develop their knowledge of chemistry and take part in the “Top of the Bench” Royal Society of Chemistry West of Scotland Competition.
Anyone interested from S2, S3 or S4 will be set a test and the pupils with the highest score joins the team!
Every Monday (lunchtime) from August to November the team meets, unless the team wins their heat. Then meetings continue to March or the following year. If interested please see Mrs Pirie.
CHESS CLUB
This involves playing chess throughout the year, ending with a competition. This club is open to pupils from S1-S4.
However we are limited to a maximum of 20 pupils who can take part in this club. Friday lunchtime is when the Chess Club meets and is run by Mrs Procter
GIRLS’ BRIGADE
Girls’ Brigade offers a variety of activities based on a 4 sided programme (Physical, Spiritual, Educational and Service).
Open to all girls (numbers limited due to staffing) on Thursdays after school (4.00pm-5.00pm for J1-3) and 4.00pm – 5.30pm for J4-7. No time as yet for S1.)

JAM CLUB - Jesus and Me (Scripture Union)
This club is all about Learning about Jesus and how he would like us to live. This involves a variety of activities such as quizzes, singing, games, stories, videos, activities and sometimes crafts.
The club takes place at lunchtimes (day to be confirmed) for all J4-7 pupils and is run by Mrs Aitken
THE POINT
A fun-filled-fruitful-fantastic-faith-fuelling-forty-five-minutes for friendly-faces. Including: packed lunch; team challenges; quizzes; scavenger hunts; computer games; music and “The Point”.
Open to all senior year groups every Monday lunchtime in C6. This club is run by Mr Ross and Mrs Roy.
