First & Second Year Geography
S1
We start with an introduction to ‘Place, People and Work’ and then get some practice in using an Atlas and maps. The focus then moves on to Physical Geography when we study ‘Weather, Weather Hazards and Water’, ‘Landforms and Land Use’ and then ‘Earth Movements’.
S2
In this year the focus is on Human Geography with topics covered being ‘Farming and Conservation’, 'Settlements Around the World’, ‘The Empty Lands: Changing Lands and Landscapes’ and 'Rich World/Poor World: Our Divided World'.
