Music
This is a vibrant and dynamic element in the life of Hamilton College. Through the curriculum and an energetic extra-curricular programme, music contributes greatly to our positive ethos and to fostering community links. Encouraged by experienced teachers and instrumental specialists, all pupils from J1 to S6 are able to develop their talents in a well resourced environment.
A wide range of extra-curricular groups across Junior and Senior School provide a platform for numerous performances throughout the year, and concerts, European trips, stage musicals and talent shows are the norm. Pupils regularly enter the Glasgow Music Festival, represent the school at West of Scotland Independent Schools music events, and are encouraged to take ABRSM examinations.
Music is a very important part of the rich and varied celebration of individual and collective success in Hamilton College.
