Junior School

Learning is fun - This is the sentiment that we aim to engender in our pupils through a relevant and interesting curriculum. Visits and visitors, projects and challenges mixed with enthusiasm and encouragement, help to bring the curricular areas together and make learning fun.

Within a caring Christian community we seek to empower and enable our pupils to become confident, successful, independent and responsible learners by teaching them the skills they will need for today and for the future.

Being on one campus allows the Junior School to liaise with both Senior School and Nursery to ensure smooth transitions across the school from 3-18. Pupils learn to become part of the caring community through involvement in the Pupil Council, Eco-committee, Games committee and in Buddying the younger children. S6 pupils also come to help out in the Junior School as their timetable permits.

High standards are expected at all times and many opportunities are made available to allow the children to develop and grow into well rounded individuals. Click here for more information on pupil support.

As well as a full and varied curriculum, extra-curricular activities such as music, sports, drama, cooking, Girls Brigade and other activities, encourage children to be healthy and active and provide an opportunity to develop their interests and talents.

If at any time you wish to discuss a matter concerning your child's welfare, please contact the Head of Junior School who will be happy to help you.
